everyday is a new beginning.

hello all!
i'm back from orientation and i can tell you it's really a blast although there were quite a few things that didn't go according to plan.

day1

started off on a wrong note.
should have done ice-breakers first, but we were running on a tight schedule, so i had to clear those first.
sorry to og17 peeps if you're reading this!
and thanks for screaming so loudly and doing me proud even on the first day.

didn't get to see much of them after that though.

day2

same thing happened on day2,
didn't get to see much of them.
but whenever i get to see them,
they'll be like so ever supportive although they were really quiet when i was briefing them.
not sure if they were tired or what,
but it kinda made me think they didn't enjoy it.

day3

earthquick, and it's finally the day when i can really spend time with them.
many thanks to hewei and jemimah for helping me take care of the og!

had lots of fun,
from the burping competition, to running in the rain.

day4

gahh.
senior junior meeting started wrongly too.
icebreakers and introduction was horrible, i know.
but the day goes on, and we had fun in the hall, having mock lessons.

yay.

day5

today was another independent day for them,
i'm so proud of it.
had a few moments of camwhoring before i have to leave for council intro, finale briefing and prep.
it started raining halfway through prep,
and the campfire was cancelled and finale moved to hall.
boo.
and we didn't have much preparation time.
but at least the j1s enjoyed themselves.

had fun after finale, and i've received many letters from them.
ran around the track, had ribena.
and those are the little things that made me feel that the efforts we put in have not gone to waste.

people: me, jethro, some other 06 people, another "fill-in-the-blanks" teacher.
scene: getting settled down for national day celebrations.

we got into the hall and got settle down at the back of the hall.
it was our designated place.
then suddenly, this teacher came along.

"fill-in-the-blanks" teacher (screaming): why are you sitting here!
desmond: we sitting here one what.
"fill-in-the-blanks" teacher (screaming): where are you supposed to sit! how come you all sitting in circle!
desmond: is like that one what.
"fill-in-the-blanks" teacher (noticing i'm a councillor)(screaming): ehh, councillor, you go and check properly okay!
desmond: of course, i check before sitting down already.
"fill-in-the-blanks" teacher (screaming): you all should sit in straight lines!
desmond: the layout said we sit in circle.
"fill-in-the-blanks" teacher (doubting himself/herself): circle? box ahh?
desmond: =.-, yayaya. don't believe you go check.

"fill-in-the-blanks" teacher goes and check and finds out that she's wrong, and never say sorry.
gahhh.
that's how sajc teachers are like. i'm utterly disappointed.

late nights.
early mornings.
studies.
council.
headaches.
GAHHH.
it's like crazy.

today's asean reception was cool.
didn't eat much though.
the food was TOTALLY AWESOME.
and i had so little, because pigging out is unglam.

but at least i used the time to do something else.

scene: "fill-in-the-blanks" teacher acting "fill-in-the-blanks".

i picked up the attendance basket.
then the "fill-in-the-blanks" teacher came out of nowhere.

"fill-in-the-blanks" teacher (sarcastic tone): i know you are very enthuastic, but next time can you wait till all files are in before leaving?"
desmond: i'm having a lesson now, and i have instructions to leave immediately after assembly.
"fill-in-the-blanks" teacher knows he's been outwitted, and tries to play the authority game.
"fill-in-the-blanks" teacher: who gave that instruction?
desmond: you don't have to know.
"fill-in-the-blanks" teacher (acting pissed and splatting saliva all over me.): who gave that instruction?!!
it was actually ronald that gave that instruction, but i couldn't say ronald, if not ronald would be killed.
anyway, instructions would obviously have come from ms huang.
so..
desmond: find ms huang if you want.
"fill-in-the-blanks" teacher has nothing to say.
"fill-in-the-blanks" teacher was shouting and trying to make me embarassed in front of the students, but the opposite happened.
AWWWW.
but to save face,
"fill-in-the-blanks" teacher: i'll go and tell her about this.


okay.

if you want me to wait till all files are in the basket then i put the basket at the GO,
why not you let all the students come into school then start morning assembly.

if students are made to sit at the foyer as punishment,
why not you take a trip down to the GO yourself?

if you had not said anything, i'll smile and help to to bring it to the office.
if you said please and thank you, i would have said welcome, and you would have made my day.
but you had to be sarcastic, i would have asked you to fuck yourself, show you the finger, burn your file, and shove it up your sorry little ass, but i had to be professional, so i didn't, count yourself lucky.

yes, i'm a servant leader, but i'm not your servant, bastard.
you lost all the respect i have for you as a teacher.
i'm not angsty, i'm not rebellious, it's just that you piss me too too off.
